French Week

Will and Lucy’s school is taking part in French Week this week.  Monday they played soccer, Tuesday they visited a Petit Cafe (set up in the French room) and tried different French pastries, Wednesday was the Tour de Skinner with a bike race.

Last night we all worked to construct a couple Eiffel Towers for the competition today.  (Thanks to my folks for the cool building set.)

They also were allowed to dress up today as French Characters.  Here we have a French Chef:

And Little Red Riding Hood (story was written by French author Charles Perrault.)

  1. The costumes are awesome!!! I am just horrid at dreaming up costumes!! It great teh school does that. In our public school our daughter goes to has a principle that won’t allow any dressing up for fear it will be taken wrong by someone. He was the elem. principle last yr and wouldn’t even allow them them to wear red hats on “red hat day”. That’s a day set a side for all the kids to wear a red hat to show they have better things to do with thier lives besides of take drugs. My hats off to the school.
