PAX 2011

A few weeks ago my lovely fiancée and I fled north, to the sodden country, to the quickening of the nerds. Friends, I speak of PAX.

For those who don’t know, PAX is an expo. It’s about gaming (no, not that kind of gaming), but not just video games (cards and boards are well-represented). It’s organized by the creators of comic strips which you will never find in a newspaper.  Oh, they also have a charity.

This was our third PAX, the biggest and best so far. We saw Wesley Crusher wearing chain-mail, and (separately) eating sushi in a utilikilt. We played as knights who throw rainbows and buzzsaws at llama-mounted sasquatch. We waited in many lines, and Becky apparently took many pictures of my back.
