Along with us parents taking solo retreats, we also are now doing retreats with each kid, to strengthen our relationships and give them one-on-one time with us. For our first retreat Ben and Will stayed home:

On their first day they went to the Modern Man Barber Shop,  where Will got his first “grown-up” haircut from Ben’s stylist:

Then they took a train to Jeld-Wen Field to see a Timbers game! Will is really interested in soccer and plays pick-up games at school every day so Ben wanted to surprise him with his first real game:

That night they had a slumber party in our media room and played video games.

The next day they headed to OMSI to see the Grossology Exhibit and hang out in the Turbine Hall:

Lucy and I headed out to Newport to visit the Aquarium:

The next day we went swimming at our hotel pool:

And at Lucy’s request, went back to the Aquarium:

Everyone had an excellent weekend. We are looking forward to the next one, where we swap kids!
