Awesome 3000

Every May, our family, the Swanks, and the Aldridges volunteer at the Salem-Keizer Awesome 3000 youth fun run.  Chuck is one of the head organizers; Ben & I do the photography; and Liz, Jeff, and Phoebe help out with medals, awards, and waters.

This was Will’s first year running without an adult companion AND on the much longer route.  He was super nervous, but pushed through that and was really proud of himself for finishing!

We had full access to the finish line area, so let the kids give each other their finishing medals:

Lucy was a big help to Uncle Jeff while waiting for her race to begin:

This is Lucy’s last year to run with an adult companion. She made the best of it.
