In mid-May, shortly before opening the house to public rentals, I hosted a ladies weekend with some of my favorite friends!

Over the three days about a dozen awesome women came to relax and enjoy the coast! The weekend started out typically damp and cloudy:

But Saturday dawned sunny and delightful!

All four of these lovely ladies ended up with sunburns…(not me though).

Highlight of the weekend?  Two gray whales cavorting and playing right off the shoreline. Amazing experience!

Meanwhile, Ben was off in Berlin, so the kids got to spend a fun and sunny weekend down in Salem:

On Sunday I stopped by to pick them up on the way home and was treated to a lovely Mother’s Day Lunch and was gifted two homemade puzzle piece necklaces from these adorable munchkins:
