At the end of June my entire family came from around the world to spend 5 days together in this house in Sunriver, Oregon! There were 11 children under the age of 9, and 12 adults. And of course I made them all dress up and smile pretty for the camera. For the whole series click here to visit my pro blog.
On the way out there, we stopped at a scenic viewpoint for a nice walk.
The house was located right near the large playground, so our group was out there often. Will learned how to “push” himself on the swings!
The house came with the biggest hot tub most of us had ever seen.
Grandma Dorothy read Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle to all the kids each night.
Several of us braved the rain and headed to the Lava Lands Visitor Center for some entertainment, a ranger talk, and a hike along the Trail of the Molten Lands.
The first few days there were rainy, so we saw a lot of this type of activity:
In between rain-showers there was bike riding:
And art lessons:
And tee-shirt crafting:
And more trips to the playground:
The sun finally came out and we were able to take advantage of the SHARC passes that came with the house!
Last shot of Central Oregon goodness before heading home. It was a great trip and we are already planning the 2015 Reunion in Wisconsin!
[Also: stay tuned for the La Pine adventure, which warrants its own post.]
