Cash King Liquidators in Reedsport may not have a website, but they sell kites! This is the kind of store we can’t resist when we’re in the area. Will and Lucy each had quite a challenge choosing from the dozen-or-so beauties on offer for $3. They finally made their selections, and we headed to Ziolkouski Beach Park.

There we were met by a light breeze and misty fog. With a tiny bit of consternation, we got the kites put together, and got them in the air.

It lasted for about 20 minutes, before the wind disappeared. Fear not; the ocean hath many charms for those under the age of ten.

I was prepared for this eventuality.
