Every year, the kids’ school throws a carnival fundraiser, which is entirely powered by the teachers and parent volunteers. This year, Becky contributed an entire photography project: she set up an individual portrait of each and every student, with comedy props and funny faces. She’s calling it the “CLASS Clowns.”
Will and I went early to help set up. Here’s the silent-auction room, with Becky’s photography project all set up:
And here’s the part of the wall mural that Will painted:
(We were there for three hours, but those are the only photos. We were busy bees.)
The carnival started, and we came back as visitors. The project was so big that even Will and I didn’t know what most of it looked like! There were games you could play for prizes:
There was face painting:
The teachers rotated into the “soak your teacher” booth. I don’t envy them; it was a chilly day.
And there was a balloon-sculpture genius:
A great time was had by all, and the kids came home with pocketsful of tiny prizes. Will loves his new whoopee cushion, and Lucy got some new dress-up jewelry and some additions for her fairy-house kit.
Looks like you all had a lot of fun. The Muriel looked great and so did the face painting.
