We’ve been to the Oregon Coast Aquarium at least a million times, but we don’t get to the Hatfield Marine Science Center very often. Well, it’s time to change that.

While the Aquarium is filled with animals (kind of like a water zoo), this place is filled with science – a lot like OMSI for the ocean. Will made sure to dress appropriately (HMSC is part of Oregon State University).

The kids liked this place, although they’re just barely old enough to enjoy it – there’s a lot of reading, and younger kids will have a hard time with it. This also isn’t the best season to visit; many of the exhibits were having work done. (sigh) I guess we’ll have to come back.
