Our Airbnb apartment has always been good to us, and this summer we wanted to give our guests a little outdoor space to sit and enjoy the nice Portland weather. So we had an extra bit of fence installed, addd a bit of landscaping, potted a few plants, and made this:

And it’s totally separated from our side, so they don’t have to look at this:

Our guests loved it, and since their area was now separated from ours, we felt a lot more comfortable spending time in our side. Double bonus!

(Note: we actually got this done at the beginning of the summer, and this post slipped through the cracks. Now that we’re moving, we’ve shut down the Airbnb listing.)
