#22: Family CrossFit

This is part of our 100 Things in 2015 challenge. Here’s the full list.

When our CrossFit gym moved out of the warehouse space two blocks away from our house, we were at a loss. As silly as it sounds, getting in a car and driving 5 minutes is just enough of a barrier that I would find an excuse not to go half the time. And despite trying a couple of gyms, we never quite found that sense of community we had built with our old workout buddies.

So when Intrepid Fitness moved into the same space as CrossFit HEL had been in, we were overjoyed. We immediately signed all four of us up, because they offered kids’ classes too! Sean and Ruth are great coaches, and over the year we’ve been members there, the place has really grown into something special. Every workout feels like going to a party with old friends.

This was one of the hardest things to leave behind when we moved. We’re really going to miss this place and these people. We’ll have to come back for a Saturday workout sometime soon.
