Lucy turned 8 this year, and according to our standard-parenting “you can do that when you’re older” line, it meant it was time for Lucy to get her first pedicure.

So Becky and Sarah (who happened to be in town from Wisconsin) trundled her off to the local nails shop, and had them done. She was thrilled (and more than a little weirded out), and wore open-toed shoes as much as she could for the entire month of July.

Note: Hannah came along, but did not have her nails done.
