#30: Rattlesnake Museum

We’ve been saving this place for Will – partly because we knew he’d love it, and partly because we knew Becky wouldn’t.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2016 challenge. Here’s the full list.

Albuquerque is home to the world’s largest collection of live rattlesnakes, and they’re all at the Rattlesnake Museum. There are probably more snakes here than there are at the three zoos closest to you (of rattlesnakes alone, there are 34 varieties), along with a scattered collection of turtles, lizards and spiders. There was even a salamander, by far Becky’s least favorite creature on this planet (snakes are probably #3 on that same list).

We had a great time. Highly recommended if you’re ever in ABQ.

UPDATE: Lucy joined for a New Mexico Christmas in 2016, and we got to take her, too!
