Visiting a pumpkin patch is a Portland tradition, which means our primary problem is managing how to do it without getting stuck in a huge crowd. We did this last year, too, and we think we have it figured out.
This is part of our 100 Things in 2017 challenge. Click on the photos for a closer look!
This year we happened t go on the last weekend before Halloween, which is usually a bad thing, but it was cold, and was supposed to rain, so we had the place mostly to ourselves! We wandered the corn maze for a while, found the trashed remains of a concert/rave the night before, and helped our friends and their adorably-jacketed daughter pick out their front-porch gourds.
We got cold and lost, and recovered from both. Then we all ate Thai food. It was the perfect Portland pumpkin-patch day.
