#1: Jenson Family Reunion

The whole Jenson clan likes to get together in one place every now and again. They’ve been doing it for a while now, but we’ve documented the practice on this blog in 2013, 2015, and an impromptu one in 2016. This year we did it again.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2017 challenge. Click on the photos for a closer look!

Becky managed to gather all the kids and her dad into one frame. It’s always a challenge working with this many monkeys kids at once, so it’s not a magazine-perfect shot, but it’s perfectly them.

The reunion happened the week of Thanksgiving, so you can imagine the food that was around. There was an entire table of just pies.

As is traditional, every kid got a blank white T-shirt, and made their own souvenir. Covering the dining tables with butcher paper is always a good idea, whether there are kids around or not.

We had disassembled our karaoke system for the move, so it wasn’t too hard to dig the boxes out and bring them. This was a huge hit with the kids, especially since we parents could control the queue from across the house!

Someone was foolish enough to bring the pie face game, so everyone had the joy of whip cream in their eyebrows.

You may have noticed Will’s face in some of these photos! That’s because he’s reached a point in the Sandhill program where he can handle being there for Friday afternoon. We’re super proud of the progress he’s made. He was really happy to see everyone, and they were happy right back.

We’ll close with some miscellany: the photographer in action styling her dad for his portrait, and two dogs who ran each other ragged.
