#69: Family Gratitude Journal

Becky came across the idea of a gratitude journal in her reading, and immediately saw value. So this year we decided to run an experiment.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2017 challenge. Click on the photos for a closer look!

Becky pulled out a journal that she’d been saving (she has a few of these tucked away for special occasions), and every day, every one of us that’s home writes down one thing that we’re grateful for. You can probably tell who wrote what by reading the entries.

Lucy’s actually the driving force behind this now. She’s usually the first one to write in it, and reminds the rest of us to make sure we do it.

I don’t know if we’re 100% happier as a family, but it definitely forces us to all stop and think for a minute about what’s good about our lives. We definitely recommend this to anyone, even kids, since it teaches you/them the habit of mindfulness and gratefulness.
