Nobody doesn’t like getting mail. Nobody. I’ve never met a person who doesn’t smile when they get a letter from a friend. So we like to send mail to people sometimes.

Most people, if they’re going to send one letter every year, send it at Christmas time. But we’ve found the months leading up to Christmas are pretty busy already, and to add one more soul-baring act of loving craftsmanship to the pile was too much.
So we send Valentine’s-day cards. We’ve done this for a number of years now, and it’s always well-received. We’ve yet to get a complaint about receiving our cards. Plus, since everybody else is all tuckered out from their Christmas-card efforts, ours is usually one of just a few pieces of personal mail, and it’s much easier to stand out in a crowd of three.
Bottom line: we like this tradition, and we think we’ll be sticking with it.
