#61: Gardner Gala Costumes

We like costume parties. Halloween is a great occasion to dress up as something, but once a year isn’t always enough.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2018 challenge. Make sure to click on the photos!

The theme for the Gardner School Gala this year was “treasures of the sea,” so we picked a team costume that we thought might be unique: Jack and Rose. My costume was cobbled together from Goodwill, Amazon (for the hat), and my closet (the boots and suspenders), and Becky’s was mostly special order, except for the shoes. The element that made the whole thing work was the $9 “Heart of the Ocean” necklace, which was the clue most people needed to figure out what our theme was.

The bottom-left photo in this gallery is all the Gardner parents in our new neighborhood. It’s quite a gang, and we all had fun that night.

Oh, that last photo? That’s Becky donating two photo shoots to the silent auction, both of which helped raise money for the school!
