#24: Eat at Portland Monthly's Restaurant of the Year

Portland Monthly doesn’t hand out their Restaurant of the Year accolade lightly. In a city full to overflowing with excellent places to eat, it’s hard to rise above the crowd. Lucky for us, Han Oak totally does.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2018 challenge. Make sure to click on the photos!

This is one of those places where you order a bunch of small portions of things, cover the surface of your table with food, and eat until you literally cannot eat another bite. And love every moment of it.

We ordered the set menu, where we give up all control over what we’re eating to the chef, and it was a total delight. I don’t know the names of anything I ate, but I do know I loved every bite. I think there was some pork belly?

Anyways, we can’t recommend this place enough. It was amazing, and super relaxed, and fairly inexpensive as restaurants-of-the-year go. Check it out if you ever get a chance, you won’t regret it.
