A few months into Lucy’s career at Gardner School, I was invited to join a grownups board game club that meets about once a month. It’s been a lot of fun, and I’ve made some friends, and when the group needed a place to host their June meeting, the stars aligned and I was able to host it at our house.
This is part of our 100 Things in 2018 challenge. Make sure to click on the photos!
We played lots of games, among them Deception: Murder in Hong Kong (kind of a cross between Clue and Werewolf) and Cockroach Poker (a card game that’s great if you’re good a pretending to be a bad liar), and we enjoyed them all.
We had a great time. So great, in fact, that we kept Lucy up when she was trying to go to bed! So if we do this again, we’ll have to find a time when it won’t be so disturbing to kids’ sleep on a school night. I look forward to when the stars align again.
