In the first part of this year, we tried an experiment: we started a podcast. It turns out we’re not born podcasters, but we’re still really glad we tried it.

This is part of our 100 Things in 2018 challenge. 

We recorded 4 episodes, and you can still listen to it, but we won’t be making any more. We called it off for a few reasons, but the biggest two were that it was hard to find time to record, and Becky hated recording it.

Our lives are pretty busy, and to find an hour or two to prepare some notes, set up our closet studio, and sit down and talk about ourselves to an invisible audience was always a challenge.

Plus, imagine how hard it would be if you dreaded the recording sessions! I was having fun with the tools and the recording sessions, but Becky found them really challenging. She’s a great storyteller, but it turns out that only works when there are actual people in the room, and the experience was so weird that it was unpleasant.

In the end, we’re glad we tried. Now we know this about ourselves, and that’s really the whole point of the 100 Things.
