#24: Eat Tacos in Mexico

This is part of our 100 Things in 2014 challenge. Here’s the full list.

Mexico. The birthplace of tacos. If there is a single food that is quintessentially Mexican, it’s the taco. So of course we’re eating a lot of them while we’re here. In fact, this is our fourth (or possibly fifth) meal to include tacos, but the first one where we remembered to take photos for this post. It’s also coincidentally the best tacos so far.

This is the taqueria we stumbled on while wandering through our little town. It doesn’t exist in Yelp or TripAdvisor, there is no website. But they do make tacos.

And you will be joined at some point by an uninvited lunch guest.

The tortillas are fresh. The fillings are simple, but perfect.

And the toppings are minimal and exquisite. Pico. Avocado. Salt. That’s all. We actually haven’t seen hot sauce anywhere in this country.

We were made full by this place. And we probably will be again. Yum.
