#34: Japanese Tea Garden

This is part of our 100 Things in 2015 challenge. Here’s the full list.

We didn’t exactly stumble on Golden Gate Park’s Japanese Tea Garden, so much as we thought of it as yet another reason to visit Golden Gate Park. But it was a lovely find nonetheless; we wandered the peaceful paths, enjoyed the lovely scenery and landscaping, and noshed on some tasty snacks.

As it turns out, this is the (alleged) birthplace of the fortune cookie! So we ate some. And our fortunes were appropriate.

This place is gorgeous, and well worth a visit if you’re in the area. There’s good Japanese tea and miso, and the fortune cookies are among the best I’ve ever had.
